We are set to embark on a new journey together! Summer has ended. Schedules are printed and picked up by students and parents. Teachers have prepared their classrooms, spent time working on curriculum, participating in professional learning, and await the arrival of their students. Parents are ready for their children to return to school because they know the importance of education for their children. Let’s face it, they are ready for their kids to spend their days with friends while they are growing and learning, together. Students are ready to see their friends and get out of their house. Check out some of the classrooms at AMCMS. How can you not be excited about learning in these classrooms! Students, you are not the only ones that are taking on new learning challenges this year.
I believe in the importance of reading and writing, as well as lifelong learning. I have decided to share my learning throughout the school year on the AMCMS School Blog. I am also wanting others to share their learning for everyone to benefit. We all have things we can teach and we all have more learning to do. We are all learners and learning does not stop when school ends. Students, it is important for you to remember this. Learning is so much more that school. Learning is discovering new information. Learning is gaining new knowledge. Learning is applying new concepts and skills to gain a better understanding of the world in which we live. Learning is power. Learning is what keeps us as a free and independent nation. Learning is that important. There is so much we can learn from each other. This space is designed to be just that, a learning space where we all can benefit. As we progress through the school year, I am going to be asking teachers, students, and parents to share different thoughts and ideas related to AMCMS for our School Blog. When I ask different teachers, students, and even parents to share information, it is so we can learn from one another. I look forward to the coming school year. I cannot wait to share the learning that occurs at AMCMS. I really cannot wait to share the different learning adventures from AMCMS, especially from the perspective of students, parents, and teachers. See you in the hallways.
