College Station ISD has seen tremendous growth since the mid 2000s and AMCMS has been no exception. AMCMS has seen the student population shift from a predominantly white, affluent population to a minority-majority campus that is has steadily grown to the mid 40% range of low socio economic disadvantaged students. This population shift requires a staff to be committed to continual professional learning to be able to meet the needs of the students being served.
AMCMS University is about helping teachers to find Professional Learning that meets their needs as adult learners. This site contains the resources that our staff needs to build upon their skills as a teacher as well as to learn and share the stories of AMCMS.
